Despite over three decades of hard work to end the re-victimization of battered people who find themselves caught up in the criminal legal system as defendants, the problems that led to the establishment of the National Clearinghouse for the Defense of Battered Women are still painfully present. The demand for services to address pressing issues faced by victims of battering charged with crimes, and by those who assist them, continues to grow, and the challenges they encounter have become more complex.

We count on people like you to support our work on behalf of victims of battering who end up in conflict with the law.  We hope you'll consider making a donation. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

As of December 2022, NCDBW is now the National Defense Center for Criminalized Survivors, a program of BWJP. All donations for the Defense Center should be made to BWJP.

You can donate online here or mail a check to:

You may designate that your donation be used to support the work of the Defense Center by adding a note to your online donation or in the memo line of your check. Please do not make your check out to NCDBW or NDCCCS. It will be returned to you
